"Funniest Ferret Videos of the FML"
Home Video Contest

Who has the funniest ferret?
We know they are cute. We know they are funny. And we all know that our ferret is the cutest, sweetest, most adorable critter that ever lived. Right? Well, now is your chance to prove it! The IFC, in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Symposium, is pleased to announce the first ever "Funniest Ferret Videos of the FML" Home Video Contest!

Rules of the contest
Videos must ...
  • be no longer than 2 minutes and 30 seconds
  • portray at least one ferret, may also include humans and other animals
  • The IFC has voted to allow previously posted and new You Tube videos in the funniest videos of the FML contest
  • be in an acceptable format: WMV, MPG or AVI
  • be submitted between April 1 and July 15, 2008; entries postmarked after the deadline will not be accepted

Videos may be accompanied by a sound track or may be silent. The sound track can be natural sounds, a voice over, music, or some other appropriate sound.

Please include your name and the names of people and animals who appear in the video. A title for the video is optional.

By submitting a video for consideration in the contest, permission for the International Ferret Congress (IFC) to use the images in the video is implied. All videos submitted will become the property of the IFC, for the sole purpose of entertainment and raising funds to benefit ADV research.

Judges
An elite panel of judges will independently score all videos, considering things such as technical quality of the video, entertainment value and creativity. Points will be awarded in each category and also given for the top three videos. After all judges have scored the videos, an independent scorer will tally the points and rank the videos by totals.

Winners
Winners of the contest will be announced at the Ferret Symposium 2008 in Pittsburgh, PA. The top five videos will be shown during the first day of the Symposium, and a DVD of the best videos will be available for sale. All proceeds from the sale of these videos will benefit the ADV Research Fund at UGA.
