Tentative Schedule
- 8:00 am: Registration and deluxe continental breakfast
- 9:00 am: Sessions begin.
- 12:00 pm: Buffet lunches will include Table Topics sessions, an opportunity to discuss selected topics with others.
There will be vendor tables, exciting raffles and a "Celebrity Auction". The ADV Memorial Quilt will be on display throughout the Symposium. Bill Gruber will be the Symposium moderator.
NEW! American Sign Language Interpreter will be available for some sessions!
- Speakers:
Dr. Deborah Kemmerer, Dr. Hanneke Moorman, Dr. Jerry Murray, Dr. Bruce Williams and Dr. Heather Wilson.- Topics include the latest in ferret health care, health care in Europe, endocrine diseases, Aleutian Disease Virus and clinical pathology.
- A vet panel with Q&A will also be held.
Continental breakfast and buffet lunch included.
(Please note: These sessions (Friday only) meet the requirements for 5 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB's RACE approval; however participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain cateories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. RACE provider #160.)

- Jeanne Carley on photographing ferrets.
- Dr. Brett Middleton and Rebecca Stout on deafness in ferrets.
- Sally Heber on breeding ferrets.
Continental breakfast, buffet lunch and evening reception with "Celebrity Auction" included. Drawing for White Russian Memorial Quilt will be held at reception.
SUNDAY, October 5th
- Marylou Zarbock and Melissa Kauffman, behind the scenes with Ferrets Magazine.
- Bob Church, ferret enrichment and Tropical Beach Party**!
** Wear a Hawaiian Shirt and bring a picture of your ferret(s) in a Hawaiian shirt for special prizes!

Passes include access to all sessions, vendor tables, raffles, deluxe continental breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, buffet lunch on Friday and Saturday, and reception Saturday evening.

The Symposium will be held at the Holiday Inn Airport North, 1380 Virginia Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30344. You must make your reservations directly with the hotel. The hotel can be contacted at 404-762-8411, fax 404-762-6138. Be sure to mention the International Ferret Symposium for best rates.
A special room rate of $75 for single or double rooms is available for the evenings of October 2-5. Only a limited number of rooms are available at that rate. The regular rate is $129 for single, $139 for double.
The Holiday Inn does allow pets and has provided a very special rate for this event. Each cage or carrier of ferrets will be charged a non-refundable $25 fee for the weekend.

Cancellation Policies
All cancellations received by September 5, 2003 will be subject to a $20 processing fee which will be deducted from any refund. Cancellations between September 6 and September 26 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued after September 26, 2003 as catering commitments must be finalized at that time.Room cancellations must be made directly with the Holiday Inn. Contact them for cancellation policies.
The purpose of this Symposium is to learn and engage in constructive discussions. We expect there may be disagreements on some issues, but we ask that people show respect for each other and for differing viewpoints. Anyone who cannot maintain civility will be asked to leave, and no refunds will be issued.
